The NMDC Hyderabad Marathon, first held in 2011, is one of India’s largest marathons is a 2-day event offering multiple races including a full marathon, a half marathon, a 10k race, and a 5k fun race. Earlier known as the Airtel Hyderabad marathon, it is a flagship event of the Hyderabad Runners Society and has become a defining event in Hyderabad City.
Over the last 11 years, the event has grown from 1,250 participants to the country’s 2nd largest event in terms of participants. Usually held on the last Sunday of August every year, the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon aims to spread awareness about an active lifestyle. Hence it also offers an excellent platform for sponsors & partners to showcase their products & connect with a multitude of runners directly.
The course record in the men’s category is held by Karan Singh with the timing of 2:24:54 (2014) and in the women’s category by Pascalia Chepkoesh with the timing of 2:51:45 (2018).

A. Marathon: Must have participated in a Marathon or Half marathon live event on or after January 1, 2023, with the following eligibility criterion.
– Marathon: 6hrs 30 min or faster.
– Half marathon: 3 hrs 15min or faster
B. Half Marathon: Must have participated in Marathon/Half marathon or 10K live event on or after January 1, 2023, with the following eligibility criterion.
– Marathon: 6hrs 30 min or faster
– Half marathon: 3 hrs 15min or faster
– 10K: 1hrs 25min or faster

Important Points
- Runners need the following mandatory documents and minimum criteria for registration approval.
- Photo ID
- Photo
- Timing certificate (for Full Marathon & Half Marathon only)
- For claiming the Prize Money PAN card copy is required.
- Pacers would be available for Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K run.
- Runners have the opportunity to register as an elite runners. Elite category runners get the advantage of getting front-line access at the race start, having a special tent at the start/finish line, and other race day perks. They also are eligible for higher prize money.
- Course time limits applicable for Marathon (6 hrs 30 min), Half Marathon (3 hrs 30 min), 10km (1 hr 45 min) and 5km (1 hr)
- Aid stations stocked with water, energy drinks, bananas and biscuits would be present along the route at regular intervals. Medical assistance would also be available

Registrations are currently open for Airtel Hyderabad marathon 2022. There is no official last date of registration as of now but they are likely to close as soon as spots are full. For prizes, please check our webpage where details for prizes are provided (earlier editions of AHM). We would also request you to check criterion for ‘elite runners’ and if eligible, pls apply under that category since only elite runners are eligible for prizes. Is it mandatory for 5k runners with no previous track record also to submit certificate from strava app etc. To participate now.

The 5k run has only the age eligibility criterion that is 10 years & above and no other criterion.
i have completed 10K run on 27th August, 2023 through NMDC Hyderabad Marathon and received medal after completing race in 1 hour 24 minutes (tracked through my AmazfiT GTR 4 watch. As now it is 11:15 PM on 27th Aug, 2023 – my race finish timings are showing NIL (not showing up in timingindia.com) whereas other runners detail are very much available. Can you help me to publish my 10K finish timing?
