The Kansas City Marathon is held in the Kansas City, Missouri, United States. First held in 1979, the event is usually organized on the third Saturday of October. The Kansas City Marathon is the second largest marathon in Missouri and is a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon.
The event includes a 5K, 10K and half-marathon in addition to the marathon race.

Please note: Overall event winners in male and female categories are excluded from age group awards. Participants cannot win multiple awards.

Important Points
1. Baggage / Gear Check is available
2. Aid stations will be placed about 1.5 to 2 miles apart throughout the course. Each aid station will have a restroom, water, Powerade and basic first aid medical kits with Band-Aids, Vaseline, etc. No oral medications are available on the course. Aid stations WILL NOT have any Tylenol, Advil or allergy medicine, etc. Bananas and Gu energy gel will be available at limited aid stations
3. Pacers are available.
4. After party includes food, beer (for 21+ years) and music
5. KCM App available for download for iPhone & Android phones
6. Time limits: There is an overall 6 hours time limit i.e. 14minute mile speed requirement
