The Pittsburg Marathon is an annual road marathon held in Pittsburg in the state of Pennsylvania in USA. Established in 1985, the race is usually held on the first Sunday in May. The course is hilly and runs through the city center and crosses each of Pittsburgh’s three main rivers. The weekend’s event includes a marathon, a half marathon, marathon relay, and 5K.

*Kids of STEEL will run 42.2km. They will cover 40.6km during the training period till the race day and end with 1 mile (1.6km) run on the race day

• A USD 500 award to the fastest masters division runner in the Marathon category (male & female runners only) based on chip time
• For the Half Marathon, top 5 fastest masters division runner (male & female runners only) would be awarded based on chip time. The awards are USD 2500, USD 1500, USD 1000, USD 750 & USD 250 respectively for the top 5 places
• Fastest Pennsylvania runner would be awarded USD 1000 in the marathon category (male & female runners only)
• For Marathon, Half marathon & 5K prizes will be awarded for age group awards (top 3 finishers) based on chip time (male & female runners only)
• Additional awards would be provided in the Clydesdale & Athena categories based of weight & age of the participant (for marathon & Half Marathon male & female runners)
• Top 3 teams in the relay would also be awarded (male only, female only & mixed teams)

Important Points
1. Baggage / Gear Check is available
2. Pacers are available.
3. There would be aid stations located along the course providing water, energy drinks, medical personnel, and portable toilets.
4. No refunds or deferments of entry fees. Transfer to another participant is allowed at a nominal fee. Transfer to a different distance is also allowed at a nominal fees plus any applicable race fees
5. Bib Pick up: All participants must pick up their bib number. A representative with proper documentation can pick up the bib on participant’s behalf. Alternatively the participant can purchase a “Will Call” option to pick up the race gear on Saturday night (after Expo closes ~7pm-9pm) or Sunday morning (before 6am) at Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh, Downtown
6. Marathon relay: The distances for various legs of the relay are as under
• Leg 1: 5.3 miles
• Leg 2: 3.8 miles
• Leg 3: 6.4 miles
• Leg 4: 6.5 miles
• Leg 5: 4.2 miles
7. Marathon relay minimum age requirements: Minimum 14 year (no exceptions)
• Participants aged 14-15 on race day may participate in one relay leg
• Participants aged 16-17 on race day may participate in up to two relay legs
• Participants aged 18 and older on race day may participate in up to four relay legs
8. For Pet Walk:
— All well-behaved pets are welcome
— Pets must have current vaccinations, be safe to bring in public, and be leashed at all times. No retractable leashes please.
— If your pet is in heat, please leave her at home.
— Owners must clean up after their pets; bags will be provided.
9. Paper/mail-in registrations will not be accepted after January 1, 2024
10. Non allowed: Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, baby joggers, strollers, roller skates, and roller blades are not permitted on the course
11. Time limits
• Marathon/ Marathon Relay/ 5K: Minimum 16min per mile or faster
• Half Marathon: Minimum 20min mile or faster
