Tata Steel Kolkata 25K is an Indian premier running event inaugurated in 2014. TSK 25K is the only 25K race in an Indian metro to have a Silver label IAAF accreditation. And with 100,000 USD in total prize money, it is also one of the richest and the most rewarding races.

The event, promoted by Procam International, has changed the running paradigm in the East of India in the few years since its inception – with not only an expanding number of participants in the event but also ever-increasing number of people seeking a more active lifestyle in the country’s east.

While the 25K race is the feature race, the event has other distances to offer for runners of every ability and age – namely:

25K
Open 10K
Ananda Run (5km)
Senior citizens run for the silvers – for those 60 and above (2.3km)
Champions with Disability category – for individuals with any disability (2.3km)

TSK 25K has also partnered with India Cares Foundation, to raise funds for Philanthropy and in the year 2019 raised an all-time high of Rs 98.41 Lakhs taking the total funds raised at TSK 25K to Rs. 4.01 crore (since its inception).

Tata Steel Kolkata 25K events in 2020 and 2021 were canceled due to Covid-19.

# Anyone with the following disabilities can apply under the CWD category – Have physical/locomotor disability, Intellectual impairment, Visual impairment, Hearing impairment, Orthopedic or neurological disorder.
^^ For Champions with Disability Buddy, the age requirement is 18 years and the Fees is INR 200 / USD 10

25K: Must have participated in Full Marathon, 25k, Half Marathon, or 10km race conducted on or after December 1, 2022, with the following eligibility criterion.

Full marathon: 07:18:00 or faster
25k: 04:11:00 or faster
Half marathon: 03:30:00 or faster
10K/: 01:22:00 or faster

10k: 01:22:00 or faster10K: Must have participated in Full Marathon, 25k, Half Marathon, 10km, or 5km race conducted on or after December 1, 2022, with the following eligibility criterion.

Full marathon: 06:15:00 or faster
25k: 03:35:00 or faster
Half marathon: 03:00:35 or faster

Prize Money

Information about the prizes/ awards for the Tata Steel Kolkata 25K 2025 not yet available. Please check the information from the 2024 event below. All prizes were equal for men and women.

Elite awards: The top elite finishers, in the 25K race, shall be eligible to the following prize money:

1st position: USD 15,000
2nd position: USD 10,000
3rd position: USD 7,000
4th position: USD 4,000
5th position: USD 3,000
6th position: USD 2,000

In addition to above, Elite event record holder would be awarded USD 5000

Indian Elite awards: The top Indian elite finishers, in the 25K race, shall be eligible to the following prize money:

1st position: INR 3,00,000
2nd position: INR 2,50,000
3rd position: INR 2,00,000
4th position: INR 1,00,000
5th position: INR 75,000
6th position: INR 50,000

In addition to above, Indian Elite event record holder would be awarded INR 1,00,000

Open Category awards: The top 3 finishers, in the 25K race, falling within each age group, shall be eligible to the following prize money:

1st position: INR 35,000
2nd position: INR 25,000
3rd position: INR 10,000

Also up for grabs is the “Vijay Diwas Trophy” (with cash prizes) contested by personnel of the Indian Navy, Indian Army & Indian Air Force available. The Vijay Diwas Trophy-winning teams would be awarded the following cash prizes:

1st position: INR 75,000
2nd position: INR 60,000
3rd position: INR 45,000

The top 2 finishers, in the 10K race, falling within each age group, shall be eligible to the following prize money:

1st position: INR 10,000
2nd position: INR 5,000

Also up for grabs is the “Police Cup” team awards (with cash prizes) where the following cash prizes would be awarded:

1st position: INR 36,000
2nd position: INR 27,000
3rd position: INR 21,000

Important Points

The 25K and Open 10K are timed races, Timing certificates would be provided to those finishing runs within 4hrs 30 min (for 25K) and 1hrs 30 min (Open 10K) respectively.
Pacers would be available for the 25K and 10K races.
Line up section dependent on race timings submitted.
Group registration is available.
Water, energy drinks, orange & salt, and other refreshments would be available on the route/course. Water and refreshments are available to all runners post-race finish.
Medical and washroom facilities would also be available on the route/course.

Procam Slam

Procam Slam is a running program that recognizes and rewards amateur runners for their devotion and hard work if they participate in all key Procam International-sponsored running events.

In order to become a Procam Slam Champion, a runner must finish four feature races within the specified time limit. These are listed below:

TCS World 10K Bengaluru: The 10k race in under 1 hour 25 minutes.
Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon: The Half Marathon in under 3 hrs 30 minutes.
Tata Steel Kolkata 25K: The 25K run in under 3 hrs 45 minutes.
Tata Mumbai Marathon: The full marathon in under 6 hrs 30 minutes.

Key points

To begin with his/her Procam Slam Cycle, a runner can take part in one of the above-mentioned Procam events and then run the three Procam-sponsored distance running events that follow.
The Procam Slam Cycle will be considered complete if the runner completes all four consecutive races.
One would need to restart the cycle if in case a race is missed. Then the runner must run all four Procam running events in a row without stopping.
