Venice Marathon is held every year on the fourth Sunday of October in Venice, Italy. Organized since 1986, it is a worldwide recognized race, with Bronze Label certification by IAAF and Gold Label by FIDAL. It is also a part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group World Ranking
The race route is unique with its start line in front of Villa Pisani, Riviera del Brenta with participants running across the floating bridge set up for the race. The route takes runners through Piazza San Marco, by the Campanile and Palazzo Ducale making the race a truly fascinating experience for runners.

@ Runners with only tourist-sporting goals (in the not agonistic race), only need to register online and then sign and upload the Venice Marathon liability waiver form.
Those runners who prefer to take part in the agonistic race, and have the chance to compete for a prize and be included in the FIDAL/IAAF ranking list you have to (1) Hold membership of a foreign Sports Federation affiliated with IAAF and provide organizers a copy of the association license or a self declaration in which you declare that you are affiliated with a sports club (2) Get the FIDAL Runcard and provide organizers with a copy of the medical certification which allows you to take part in competitive races according to the Italian law.
# The entry fees is dependent on the number of entries/ registrations and fees goes up as more & more runners register
## Promotions are valid for cumulative registrations of at least 10 participants in a single transaction Registrations can be paid by credit card or bank transfer. After paying, you will receive a free code via email for every 10 paid subscriptions

Points to Note for Prize Purse
- The prize money for the Overall Category is reserved to all athletes licensed to FIDAL or to a IAAF Foreign Federation.
- All payments are made after the anti-doping test results are published.
- All payments will be subjected to the declaration no. 342/2000 of the Italian Law.
- Awards are equal for Male and Female participants

Important Points
- Entry fees is non-refundable and non-transferable to another athlete. Race insurance can be purchased at the time of registration.
- Race timing will be managed by Timing Data Service. Times and rankings will be available in real time during the race on the web site www.venicemarathon.it
- Refreshment stations with water are available on the course every 5 km starting from km 5. Sports drinks will be available from the 10th km mark while fruit and cookies will be available from the 15th km mark
- For competitors who withdraw, pick-up buses will carry them to the first-aid stations (placed at km 31).
- Time limit is applicable for the race after which race course would be closed
- Marathon: 6hrs
- Half marathon: 2hrs 30 min
- 10K run: 1 hr 45 min
- The corral will be distributed on the basis of the best personal time declared by applicants recorded in one race within the past 2 years. The organization will verify the best personal time declared and in case of false declaration the runner will start at the back of the group.
- Bags for personal belongings: Athletes will be allowed to use the kit bags provided by the organization ONLY (they will be distributed with the bibs).
- Family race is also available. With a distance of about 4km, these are organized are 4-5 different places in the weeks preceding the main marathon
